Sindh Minister Nasir Hussain Shah Announces Rs20m Donation, Solarisation of IHRI Centres

KARACHI – Sindh Minister for Energy, Development, and Planning, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, visited the Institute of Holistic Rehabilitation and Innovation (IHRI) in Karachi on Saturday, where he announced a Rs20 million donation from Chief Minister Sindh and an additional Rs1 million from his personal funds. The IHRI serves children with special needs and currently supports around 2,000 children.

Accompanied by CM’s Advisor for Public Health, Saleem Baloch, the minister toured the facility, met with teachers and children, and praised the institute’s dedication. He also announced that all IHRI centres would be solarised in phases to ensure sustainable and cost-effective energy solutions.

The delegation included IHRI founder Rizaq Pardesi, Programme Head Afia Wajahat, PR Director Agha Sherazi, Brand Ambassador Mazhar Rizvi, Rajiya Muhammad Ashraf, and Abbas Dhariyo. Shah commended the contribution of charitable and social welfare organisations like IHRI, affirming that the provincial government will continue supporting such institutions in line with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s vision for inclusive public service.
